Drawing and painting her way through life

“At the heart of my creative journey lies the passion for spreading joy through original, humorous artwork.

As a visual artist specialising in designing cards, illustrations, and original paintings I am dedicated to producing high-quality, authentic artwork that uplifts spirits and fosters connection.

My goal is simple: to make you smile.”

Clare McEwan graduated with a BA Hons in Graphic Design and Illustration and was selected to exhibit at The New Designers 2000 exhibition in London. Here, she cultivated relationships with a number of agents with whom she has worked as a freelance illustrator designing cards and gift-wrap.

In June 2003 she gained a PGCE in Art and Design and has shared her love for the subject teaching a combination of fine art, graphic communication and photography ever since. She currently holds a part-time post teaching fine art and photography in a fifth and sixth form college in Cambridge.

Alongside her teaching she has continued to develop her illustrative practice, graduating with an MA in Graphic Design from Nottingham Trent University in 2008.

She is currently focusing on producing contemporary paintings and drawings that celebrate the essence of animals and the deep connection we share with the natural world.
